We produced the footage for our 'The Grid' ident on the 11th of February 2011 in an every day meting room in which most people between the ages of 18-30 can relate too. Our decision in filming in a meeting room within Glenthorne High School was that it enabled us to have more time filming rather than having to traveling to another location outside of school. Our group was made up of me (George), Kelly and Ben in which all 3 of us participated in the ident.
Ben was in charge of the camera and filmed all the footage we needed whilst Kelly and I were the main to actors. Ben however was involved in some of the shots and when this happened I took over the filming.
In order to make our as professional as we could, we used a variety of shots such as an over the shoulder shot, point of view shot, tilted angle and many more. Additionally we used a tripod to ensure that the camera was not shaky so the shots looked much better and professional. To make sure that we had the shots we needed we filmed each shot around 3-4 times so that we have a wider variety of shots when it comes to editing. We try to include mise-en-scene in a lot of our shots to make them more creative and interesting for the viewer.
We booked the meeting room out for periods 4 and 5 on Friday afternoon which give us 2 hours to get all the filming we needed. During period 4 we filmed all the shots that included the rubix cube and after lunch in period 5 we filmed the remaining shots in which the rubix cube wasn't required.
