Decisions, Revisions and Results - Editing, On Screen Graphics + Music

Editing
After we had uploaded all of our work/clips into iMovie we started to put together of TV ident. We focused on our storyboard as a guideline so we knew what sequence we need our shots. We cut clips down so that they were the right size and ensured that the whole clip flowed smoothly and the transitions between each shot were smooth and effective. To ensure that the ident looks proffesional we chose the shots that look most interesting, for example different camera angles (e.g. tilted frame, over the shoulder shot etc.) and shots that had more mise-en-sin. Additionally, to make our ident even more intersting we've added some effects to a few of the shots such as slow motion so it varies whats going on in the frame.

On Screen Graphics
I was in charge of creating the titles for our ident so in order to relate the titles to 'The Grid' i downloaded a variety of fonts that resembled a grid, a box format, once i managed to get these into livetype i then chose the one i thought had the greatest effect and selected it. I believed that it was Grapple BRK as it was a square format. However, when downloading this i found some issues as every new computer i was on, i found that i had to download it again. I didn't know this at the time so when we watched our titles and they weren't working it was both frustrating and confusing. After i had 'The Grid' typed out in the selected font, i found a background effect that looked like a grid. I then selected it 3 times and put it in different positions and different colours to create a brighter and more vibrant background. The titles and the background effects all included the colours of the rubix cube (red, green, yellow, orange, blue, white) which showed creativity and relevance to our titles.

Music
In order for our ident to be complete we need to carefully select a peice of music that the whole group likes and feels is relevant to the ident. We choose a peice of music that is upbeat as we thought that it would have a more positive effect on the viewer watching; it would make the TV channel seem more interesting and make more people want to watch. On top of this we are going to add a voiceover advertising the company and informing everyone what its about.

Fonts
When selecting a suitable font for our ident, we had to look through a variety of different fonts on 'dafonts' that we thought resembled a grid. This would therefore show the creativity within our group to get a font that is relevant and looks like a grid. It is also more eye catching to the viewer as it looks smarter and more appropriate.
