Lipsync Task
For our practise lipsync task we had to lip sing to the song 'Friday' by Rebecca Black. In order for us to complete this task successfully we had to be very creative and full of ideas. IN order for it to look professional we had to ensure that no one was shy to perform in front of a camera and everyone stayed in roll.
What went well was that everyone in the group (Taylor, Grace and myself) all contributed. We performed as a group on 2 occasions and we all performed a solo each so that we have a variety of shots when it comes to editing and putting our video together. During an instrumental within the song we had to ensure that we filled the whole time and we did this successfully by dancing.
What would have been even better would have been if i knew all the words to song as at times I was struggling to sing along it showed when we looked back at the footage. I got lost in parts of the song so to cover up I just danced, however when I was performing my solo I ran out of ideas so there were times where i was just standing around doing nothing.

Lock Screenshots

1st Image: I firstly selected the text tool and and typed out the word 'LOCK'. I then had to choose the square font that I had downloaded in order to keep the font consistant throughout the logos. I had to set the size of the font ensuring that the 'L' was larger than the rest as it was the start of the word.

2nd Image: I changed the colour of the letters from the colour palette so that it wasn't boring to look at and decided to give it a bright and bold look. 'L' - blue, 'O' - green, 'C' - yellow and 'K' - pink. This therefore attracts a younger audience as they prefer bright and bold rather than what an older generation might.

3rd Image: I then selected the shape tool and choose the key as i felt that it was relevant to lock as a key unlocks the lock.

4th Image: I then moved the key from the bottom of the image to behind the text as i found that it looked more professional and overall it caught the eye more easily. I changed the colour of the key to orange as its different to the 4 letter colours and arguably stands out the most.

Pulse Screenshots
Firstly, i used the text tool and typed out 'PULSE'. Then i made sure that it was in the square font that i downloaded for my logos. I then ensured that the size was correct making the first letter (P) bigger than the other 4 letters.
Here i changed the colours of each letter to either Purple, Light Blue or Dark Blue. I made a pattern of it to make it more interesting which included.. Purple, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Purple. I found it hard to find colours that work well together without making it look too similar to the other logos.
This was the hardest part of this logo as i had to click on the shape tool and put a series of straight lines together in different directions. This was very challenging as there were many parts that were sticking out and it didn't look good.
I fixed this problem by zooming in and selecting the erase tool to a very small eraser. I had to take my time when erasing out part of the lines so that it looked very neat and very professional. It was very challenging as 1 mistake could ruin the whole thing. I used very high concentration levels and this was shown as the pulse looks professional and very effective.
This is the final logo for 'PULSE'. It looks really good with the pulse in yellow in the background. It makes the overall look of the logo look more professional and sharper. Also, the colours complement each other as yellow goes very well with purple and blue. The font adds to the image of the logo as it adds to the mise-en-scene and makes the logo more attractive.
Buzz Screenshots

Firstly, i had to select the text tool and type out 'BUZZ' and then make sure the correct font was select and the font size was correct (making sure that the first letter, B, was bigger than the others).
Secondly, I made sure that the colours for each letter were correct and all complemented each other well so that the logo looked good. I used the colours Pink, Red, Orange and Yellow as it can be for both male and females so attracts a wider target audience.
After, i then selected the shape tool and custom shape to get a different shape than normal. I thought outside of the box so that it wasn't boring and was creative. I used a squiggly line as it is interesting and catches the eye of the listener. The blue colour of the squiggle compliments the other 4 colours.
This is the finished logo for 'BUZZ'. Its eye catching as there are 5 different colours to look at so it keeps the listener interested by it. Also, the square font looks good as it looks smart and presentable so it will attract many listeners as it is colourful (younger viewers) and smart (older viewers).
The 4 images above show my analysis of the 3 logos i choose. It goes into detail about what the listeners will enjoy about it and how it will attract them. It signifies its strengths and how it relates to the company, 'reasons for how you can tell that all the logos are part of the same family'.
The 4 images above show my first initial drafts and experiments with my logo designs. Here i was trying out a variety of different fonts and colours to see what ones complemented each other and what ones looked good and would attract people to it. I had to think outside the box to make my logos better than the rest and not just original and bland.
Here is all my sketches of my logo designs for the radio station. I created ideas for all 6 of the possible names, (Lock, Buzz, Pulse, Shred, Mixx and VIP). I also tried out different fonts and styles and different colours to see which ones looked the best. After I'd drawn all these out i looked through them all and come to the conclusion that I would choose Lock, Buzz and Pulse. The bottom 3 images show my main draft designs for these 3 logos. I then asked a number of people which one they thought was the best for each idea and the majority choose the square font and multi-coloured ideas. I then evaluated each idea that I would use and stated its strengths, reason behind choosing it, how listeners would recognise it and what appeals to the listeners about the logo.

The grid ident ideas
Ident - Cube
Shooting schedule and storyboard
The storyboard above shows a Rubix cube all jumbled up with the letters from 'The Grid' scattered over it. Throughout the ident the cube shuffles itself around until it is complete. Once it has completed itself it slowly rotates revealing to the audience 'The Grid' written across the side of the Rubix cube.
Location
No location is required for this ident except a table as this ident is stop animation. It makes it easier to make as no specific location is required and no necessary background is needed.
Cast and Crew
For this ident no characters are needed. This means that Kelly, Ben and I are all able to be part of the crew. I'm the camera man which means I am incharge of the camera and what we are recording. I have to take orders from Kelly who is the director which means she tells me what to record and where from. Ben is incharge of moving the Rubix cube into the correct positions ready for filming.

The grid ident ideas
Shooting Schedule + Storyboard
Ident = Superhero
The storyboard above has been broken down into 4 sections so you can see a clearer description of what is going on. This ident idea also relates to The Grid in a clever way as it is represented through a rubix cube. In the above storyboard, 'Griddy Boy', the superhero, flies into Grid land to complete the dreaded rubix cube. With his reputation he completes the rubix cube with a variety of shots showing us this. After he has completed it the whole town congratulate him and he receives a certificate which has 'The Grid' on it.
This is a clever alternative ident idea as it relates to the current ident as at the minute no-one can complete and then a super hero comes along and saves the day. Its also creative as the rubix cube relates to the grid so there is relevance behind the idea. Its also keeps the viewer hooked as they want to find out whether the superhero completes his task. There is a variety of shots being used in this ident such as an over the shoulder shot, and extreme long shot which keep the viewer interested in the ident as the camera is constantly changing and the mise-en-scene is continuously changing aswell.
Additionally the shooting schedule shows where our ident was going to be filmed, what costumes we would have needed and what props were going to be used, the actors and crew members involved.
Location
We chose these locations as the mac computer in a media room is the perfect location to film our fake TV report. The double doors outside the Jubilee wing was choose to film the end of the ident when 'Griddy Boy' receives his certificate for completing the rubix cube. An area with nothing in it was ideal for us to film the crowd for the ceremony at the end as he could fit a number of people in it and there was enough room in it to see them celebrating. The jubilee building itself was good as we are going to use it as a background for our animation of 'Griddy Boy' flying past buildings on his was to the rubix cube. A normal media room was chosen for the filming of the rubix cube as it continues the location from the previous ident (puzzle).
Crew
We decided that I would be the man character (the superhero) as i am tall and would stand out in a crowd. This would leave Kelly and Ben to follow the storyboard and film the required shots. On top of this we would need between 8-12 support actors to form a crowd and to make noises that resemble a crowd chanting and cheering.
This actor is a good choice for the superhero as they are tall and will stand out in a crowd as they tower above everyone. This signifies that they are the stand out character. Additionally they can compare to an everyday person before becoming a superhero.

The characters in the crowd are all everyday people that everyone can relate to. It signifies that everyone is thankful for the superhero and his services to the town. It creates a joyful and victorious atmosphere with chanting, cheering and clapping going on in the background.
